Use a screwdriver to remove the floor guide located on the floor, between the doors, at the middle of the door opening. If the guide is mounted on a carpeted floor that won't leave the screw holes exposed after removal, mark the screw locations on a piece of masking tape applied to the carpet surface.
Move the outer closet door to the center of the door opening.
Grip the door at both sides and swing the bottom outward approximately 1 foot, then lift the door slightly to free the door's track rollers from the top track.
Remove the inner closet door by moving it to the center of the door opening and repeating Step 3 to release the door from the top track.
Slide the bifold door to approximately half-open and depress the top roller guide downward to remove it from the top track.
Fold the door against itself into the full open position.
Grip the door edges at each side and lift the door upward slightly to free the bottom pivot pin from the floor bracket, then lower the door to release the top pivot pin from the top track pivot bracket.
Repeat Step 3 to remove the adjacent door for double bifold units.
