# Genie Intellicode Receiver ACSR3G Instructions
The Genie Intellicode Receiver ACSR3G remote-controlled garage door opener system has a rolling security code technology. The Genie Intellicode receiver uses this technology to provide a hightened security advantage over conventional car door openers that use fixed codes, which are easier to breach by an unsuspecting neighbor or hacker. The instructions for programming a Genie Intellicode Receiver are fairly straightforward.

Press and release the "Learn Code" button on the unit. Depending on the model of the device, the "Learn Code" button is located either under the light cover or at the back of the unit. Once you press the button, the indicator LED will blink once per minute.

Press and release the button on the remote control you want to program to the receiver. Remote control styles may differ, but most if not all models have a single button to press for this programming. Once you press the remote control button, the LED will glow steadily.

Press the remote control button again. Once you press the remote control button a second time, the LED light will go off. This will indicate that the unit has been programmed to the remote control and ready to use.
