Instructions

    • 1

Measure the tracks of the sliding door. Take the measurement on the inside of the track to ensure you get the proper size frame.

    • 2

Attach the screen door rollers to the top and bottom or the metal screen frame. The brackets allow the rollers to slide over the end of the door easily. Use pliers to squeeze the edges of the roller brackets into the seams of the metal frame. You should place two sets of rollers at the top of the metal frame and two sets at the bottom of the frame.

    • 3

Lay the metal frame on a flat level surface and spread the screen mesh across the frame. There should be at least at least 1/2 inch excess mesh around each edge of the frame.

    • 4

Position the spline over the groove in the door frame. Use the splining tool to press the spline into the groove. Take care to pull the screen tight while pressing the spline into the groove.

    • 5

Use the utility knife to trim the extra screen mesh from around the metal frame. Take care not to cut too close to the spline.

    • 6

Insert the screen door into the sliding door track. Press the top end of the screen up into the track and slide the bottom end of screen into the bottom track and lower the screen door into place.
