How to Install the Ultimate Pet Door

Measure the distance between the floor and your pet's chest at standing position. Use a pencil to mark this height on your door.

Place the template that comes with the product against the interior side of the door, aligning the bottom of the template with the line you drew. Paste it on the door using sticky tape.

Drill holes at the four corners of the template.

Remove the template and cut the lines between the holes using a jigsaw to create a rectangular hole in the door.

Hold the inner pet door frame and align it with the hole in the door. Mark the screw holes on the door through the frame.

Remove the frame and drill holes in the marked points.

Insert the sleeves that come with the product into the four key-hole slots in the outer frame. Go outside to attach the outer frame to the exterior of your door by inserting the bottom screw sleeves into the holes you drilled in the door.

Measure the thickness of your door and use a hacksaw to cut the screws to the same length.

Hold the inner frame against the interior side of the door, aligning it with the hole. Drive the screws through the screw holes to keep the frame in place.

Attach all nuts to the top of the flexible flap and hold it against the hole. Adjust its position and tighten the nuts when you're happy with its placement.
