The Wireless Doorbell Is Not Working

Power

• If the chime does not ring when you press the button, change the batteries in the receiver and the button. Brush off the button to make sure there is no debris blocking the contacts or interfering with the button's movement.

Adjustments

• Car alarms or remote-control garage door openers in the neighborhood can interfere with a wireless doorbell's signal. Adjust the frequency setting on the button and chime receiver if the bell rings intermittently. Make sure the button and chime are both set to the same frequency.

Height

• Check the wireless doorbell's owner's manual to find the recommended minimum installation height. This is especially important if you have a concrete porch under the doorbell, because concrete interferes with the signal transmitted from the button.
