Determine the direction the door swings. This will determine which side of the Doorman body the swing arm attaches. The included instructions will help determine whether you have a left- or right-hand swinging door. The Doorman body will be marked "LH" or "RH" to indicate which side of the body to mount the swing arm.
Remove the aesthetic housing from the body and attach the swing arm. Using the template provided, mark the position for the body mounting screws on the door.
Drill small pilot holes for the body mounting screws using a small drill bit. Attach the Doorman body to the door with the four mounting screws included.
Mount the bracket and attached forearm to the door jam using two screws. Connect the opposite end of the forearm to the swing arm.
Adjust the closing speed of the Doorman by turning the adjustment screw located on the end of the hydraulic body. To close the door faster, turn the screw clockwise. To close the door slower, turn the screw counterclockwise.
Attach the aesthetic housing to the Doorman body.
