Single-Cylinder Deadbolt

• The most popular type of deadbolt entry lock is a single-cylinder deadbolt. It requires a key to unlock and lock. The exterior of a single-cylinder deadbolt entry lock looks similar to the interior, except is has a smooth face.

Keyless Entry Deadbolt

• A keyless entry deadbolt does not need a key to enter the premises. However. most keyless entry deadbolt have an override system that can be accessed on the premise with a key. This type of entry lock is unlocked either with a remote device or entering a numeric code into a keypad. Additionally, some locks have the ability to make a sound or shine a light in advance to indicate whether the door is locked.

Double-Cylinder Deadbolt

• A double-cylinder deadlock uses a key to lock and unlock the door. This types of look is similar to a single-cylinder deadlock. However, you must use a key on either side to unlock or lock the door. In addition, you need to use a key to also unlock or lock the door while inside the premises.

Handle Set Entry Locks

• A handle set works similar to a single-cylinder deadbolt. However, this type of lock has an exterior and interior decorative handle and replaces a traditional lock set with a key inside the knob. The only difference from a standard deadbolt is that is decorative.
