Glass-paneled doors add extra light and beauty to a home. However, if the glass is plain, it also removes the sense of privacy and may let in too much light. If this is the case, add to your home’s decor by installing a valance over the glass. While most use a valance with two curtain rods -- one at the top and bottom to completely block the window -- you can just as easily use a single curtain rod with a Roman shade style valance to make an operable valance over the window that can be drawn up as desired.
