Position the mounting plate assembly to the frame and insert the high and low voltage connectors through the mounting holes. Screw the connectors tightly into the holes in the frame.
Step up on the step ladder and hold the mounting plate assembly and frame above the door where it will be mounted. Use a pencil to mark the mounting holes on the mounting plate.
Set the mounting plate and frame aside and use the drill to drill holes on the spots that are marked in pencil.
Hold the mounting plate and frame up above the door. Insert the mounting screws and screw them into place with the Phillips-head screwdriver.
Slip the closer assembly into the clutch cover casing. The left side of the closer assembly links to the closer assembly. Use the machine screws that come with the kit to mount the closer assembly to the inside of the clutch cover.
Attach the closing arm to the door by holding the assembly to the door and installing the mounting screws.
Use an adjustable wrench to set the closing arm bolt in the center of the track to 90 degrees.
Slip a lock washer, extension and the arm shaft screw through the other end of the arm assembly to connect it to the frame. Tighten the arm shaft screw firmly with the screwdriver.
Connect the ribbon cable connector into the two ribbon connector slots on each side of the motor. Plug in the connector.
Connect the two-wire lead to the 120 VAC power supply connectors at the center behind the motor.
Plug in the motor clutch wire. It is the connector at the far left hand side of the motor.
Connect the plastic wiring harness that contains the ground wire, the "Hold open switch" wire and the circuit breaker power switch to the harness slot located directly behind these wires.
Slip the cover into place, insert retaining screws and tighten them with the Phillips-head screwdriver.
