Turn off the power to the existing ceiling fixture at the fuse box. Take out the existing fixture, removing the mounting screws, then disconnecting the wires, so the ceiling electrical box is completely exposed.
Affix the adjustable angled ceiling-fan bracket to the electrical box, using the provided screws and a screwdriver. Pull the wire ends from the ceiling down through the opening in the middle of the bracket. Set a small level along the bottom of the bracket and adjust the bracket to level, then tighten the adjustment knob.
Assemble the fan, except the blades. Install the extension rod and thread the wires from the fan through the hollow rod. Take the fan up the ladder.
Hold the upper part of the extension rod near the electrical box so you can wire it. Connect the black wire from the fan to the black wire from the box, and white to white, using the wire nuts. Twist the copper ground wire from the electrical box around the green screw on the fan housing.
Install the canopy top of the extension rod to the angled bracket, using the provided screws and a screwdriver. Install the fan blades. Turn on the power.
