Place the stovetop grill in its entirety over the eye of your choice on the electric stove. Grill stones come in circular size or larger rectangles that cover two eyes at a time. They ordinarily come in two pieces, each containing a reservoir dripping trap and flavor ring. Put the whole grill stone on the stove.
Add your choice of flavoring to the flavor ring, whether it be smoke flavoring, wine or a marinade.
Add the food you want to grill to the center, coated area of the grill stone. Food choices include beef, pork, poultry, fish, vegetables and seafood. Cover the central stone area, then cover the food with the accompanying lid.
Turn your stove on at a suitable temperature that corresponds with the foods you are preparing. A medium-high to high temperature allows the grill stone to heat up quickly and give foods that grilled or seared appearance that lends to the desire of eating grilled foods.
Turn off the stove after your food has cooked for the needed amount of time. After you have served the food and the grill stone has had time to cool to room temperature, you can pry out the coated stone on which the foods were prepared. It cleans with ease as it has a nonstick surface. Dispose of the drippings in the bottom reservoir beneath the grill stone and empty the flavor ring.
