Instructions

    • 1

Place the metal track that came with the reducer against the beginning of the hard floor and screw down by turning each screw clockwise with a screwdriver.

    • 2

Measure and cut to size the tack bar for the entryway. Hammer down the tack bar on the carpet side of the floor in front of where the reducer will end on the carpet side.

    • 3

Place the carpet kick stretcher teeth side down on the carpet and kick with your knee on the padded part of it to tighten the carpet on the tack bar that you just hammered down.

    • 4

Use the rubber mallet to hammer down the reducer onto the track. Hammer gently on top of the reducer starting on end and hammering down the length of the reducer.

    • 5

Tuck the carpet with your putty knife in between the tack bar and the reducer that was just installed. You are now done with installation.
