Measure the room and multiply the length by the width to figure out the square footage. Add 10 percent to the total to account for waste and to make sure you have enough.
Place double-stick tape around the perimeter of the room. Leave the backing on the side facing up. Make an "X" on the floor using the tape every two feet.
Cut the carpet to size with a utility knife and straight edge. Leave a little extra at the walls so you can trim it later.
Unroll the carpet from one side of the room. As you roll it forward, remove the top backing of the sticky tape and press the carpet down in place. Do this at the edges and at your tape marks.
Wrap the carpet around corners by cutting out a small "V" section and pulling the carpet tight on either side.
Have a helper unroll the carpet with you, little by little. Use a roller to flatten the carpet as you go. Work your to the opposite wall, removing sections of the sticky tape backing as you go. When you reach the wall, trim the extra carpet with your utility knife.

Apply indoor outdoor carpet adhesive to 1/4 of the floor area at one time. Use a notched trowel to spread the adhesive onto the floor.
Unroll the indoor outdoor carpet with a helper, little by little. Use a roller to help the carpet stick to the adhesive. Complete each glued section, then apply more glue to another section of floor. Repeat this process twice more, until the carpet reaches the opposite wall.

Trim away any excess carpet with the utility knife. Let the adhesive dry according to the manufacturer's directions.
