Specifications of Ligman Janet Underwater Lighting

"Janet" is a line of recessed underwater floodlights from Ligman Lighting specifically designed for illuminating smaller pools and fountains with jets of up to two meters. The Janet line uses LED lights for increased brightness with very little maintenance. These floodlights can project colored light, either through the use of filters or colored LED bulbs.
  1. Material Specifications

    • Janet underwater lights are fabricated with a cast stainless steel 316-grade body and are mounted with supplied stainless steel screws. The clear, toughened-glass lens is sealed with a silicone rubber gasket. The lights ship with a high density polyethylene recessing box.

    Dimensions

    • The circular mounting frame of the Janet line measures 135 millimeters in diameter; when installed the frame extends 5 millimeters above the mounting surface. The recessing box is 110 mm in diameter with a 130 mm mounting flange on the front end, and is 150 mm long. The unit weighs 1.8 kg.

    Installation Details

    • Janet underwater lights may be installed up to 1.5 meters below the upper edge of the pool structure, and may be submerged in up to 1 meter of water. Lights must be submerged when in operation to prevent overheating. The fixtures require DC power (10.5 to 12 volts, depending on bulb design) and must be provided with a remote transformer.

    Bulb Specifications

    • Depending on the model specified, Janet fixtures require either screw-in or plug-in LED lamps. White lamps are capable of between 1,500 and 1,800 lumens, projected in a beam from 8 to 36 degrees in width. Colored LED lamps achieve brightnesses of between 60 and 210 lumens, in beams of 27 to 29 degrees. Typical bulb service life is between 60,000 and 80,000 hours.
