Use sheet metal screws to join together sheet metal and wood. Begin by laying the sheet metal on a hard surface and plug in your electric saw. Cut the sheet metal using a pair of aviation snips and the wood using a table or portable circular saw to the size you desire. Place the sheet metal and wood together, hold the screw in place and push the screwdriver drill bit into the top of the screw. Turn the drill on and drill the sheet metal screw into the sheet metal slowly for precision.
Spot weld the sheet metal together. Use the metal electrode tongs to hold both pieces of sheet metal together, then turn on your spot welder. The electric current will bind the two pieces of metal into two pieces. After the metal has cooled, use an electric grinder to smooth out any raised areas. If there are any gaps in the seams, use liquid metal to close them in.
Glue your sheet metal together using epoxy adhesive. Clean the sheet metal pieces and place them on a flat surface. It may be necessary to use acetone to clean the sheets if they are particularly oily or if they contain splats of paint. Spread the glue all over the surface of the sheet metal pieces. Push them together, then place something heavy on top of them to keep them as flat as possible.
