Turn off the circuit breaker to disconnect the power to the furnace.
Remove the cover panel of the furnace, and locate the draft inducer blower on the bottom-right side. The draft inducer blower's housing is secured to the furnace with a plastic attachment, and a plastic PVC tube is connected to it.
Disconnect the wire plug from the high-temperature cutoff located on the right side of the blower. Unfasten the wire safety guard from the right corner of the control board. This will allow you to freely remove the blower, while you continue to disconnect it.
Unfasten the screw on the coupling that holds PVC pipe to the top of the blower, using a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the draft inducer's hose from the top of the blower by pulling up on it. Remove the drain house the same way. Unfasten the hose coupling with the Phillips screwdriver.
Slide out the old draft inducer blower, and replace it with the new Trane XE80 draft inducer blower.
Reattach the mounting bolts to the base and the top pipe coupling, with the screw bolts you removed from the old draft inducer blower.
Reconnect the wire plug and refasten the safety guard you removed from the control board.
Replace the furnace's cover panel, and turn the circuit breaker back on.
