How to Make a Faucet With a PVC Tube

PVC, the abbreviation for poly vinyl chloride, is used for many applications including plumbing and piping systems in the home. The pipe connects to kitchens, bathrooms and other areas of the home that use water, such as utility sinks and outside water lines. Making a PVC faucet requires only a few steps.

Apply PVC primer to the other end of the PVC pipe. Apply PVC primer to the inside of the unattached curved PVC elbow. Immediately apply PVC solvent cement to the same area the primer was applied on the PVC pipe. Apply PVC solvent cement to the inside of the unattached curved PVC elbow.

Connect the cemented PVC elbow to the open-end of the PVC pipe approximately 2 inches higher than the attached PVC elbow. Twist the newly attached PVC elbow downward to match the direction of the attached PVC elbow, so both PVC elbows are even with each other.
