Instructions

    • 1

Using a marker pen and measuring tape, mark out the required length of the bamboo decking. Use the pen to mark on the poles where they are to be cut.

    • 2

Use the power saw to cut the bamboo decking to the required length. Lay the decking pieces side by side to make sure that they match up. Mark holes on the bamboo for securing to the corner pieces and to the frame. Drill through the decking to make the holes.

    • 3

Connect the angle joists to the inside corner pieces. Secure them into place with a nut and bolt. Complete the frame in accordance with the building plans. Lay the bamboo decking on the frame. Secure to the frame by screwing in the bolt and nut combination. Screw the outside corner pieces on using the same bolt and nut method.

Secure the flotation drums to the underside of the frame using bolts to screw them into the frame. Space them an equal length apart, ensuring there are two at each corner and two more centered between them.

Tie the thick rope to the end of the frame in a secure knot. Tie the other end to a secure post. Lower the dock into the water to test its buoyancy. Test its capabilities by stepping onto the decking.
