Lay four pieces of 48-inch stock flat, parallel and 10 inches apart. Lay four 48-inch pieces on top of these four at right angles to them. Space these pieces 10 inches apart. The ends of every piece is flush with the side of the piece that rests against it. Weld these pieces together in this position. This is on end to your metal rack. Repeat this step to build the other end.
Position the ends upright, parallel, with the outside surfaces 60 inches apart. Position four 60-inch pieces against the ends, one against each pair of corresponding corners so the ends of these pieces are flush with the ends and the corners. Weld these pieces to the ends. This is your metal rack.
Store metal pipes, or stock metal pieces in the squares that were created in the first step. Store plastic piping or boards here as well. All the pieces that you store in this rack will be parallel with the 60-inch pieces and will in a square slot on each end.
