Measure the dimensions of each section of the shower surround with a measuring tape.
Transfer the measurements of each shower surround section to Fiberock sheets. Snap a chalk line between the measurement marks. Mark the positions of the shower frame studs on the Fiberock sheets and snap a chalk line between the marks.
Cut the Fiberock sheets to fit the shower surround sections with a reciprocating saw.
Place one of the sheets against the shower surround studs. Drive 3-inch hot-dipped galvanized roofing nails through the sheet into the studs with a hammer at 4-inch intervals. Install additional Fiberock sheets in the same manner, ensuring that the sheets fit tightly together to provide optimal support for the tile or fiberglass surround.
