A 3/4 RPZ pipe is a water backflow preventer for three-quarter inch pipes. A backflow preventer is used in several different piping situations, including preventing cross-contamination at wastewater plants, irrigation systems and toilets. Installing the backflow preventer will greatly increase the safety and sanitation of the piping system. The RPZ preventer is installed the same as any other water backflow preventer system. Check all local laws about plumbing connections for your area before using this kind of system.
