Make a hole at the bottom of the aluminum can. Utilize the hammer and scratch awl. Thread the screw at the end, making certain that it fits into the hole.
Place the plastic spoon handle in the top hole of the can. The bowl of the spoon should stick out three inches from the edge of the hole. Lock it down with a small piece of electrical tape.
Bind an end of yarn to the hook top. Do this from the wire clothes hanger and be sure to make a double knot. Put the aluminum can on its side. Place the end of the yarn on the exterior of the can side. Secure the yarn with a piece of electrical tape.
Wind up the piece of yarn. Hold the screw with your right hand, then turn the aluminum can with the spoon. Pull the hook crosswise to grab the item you want to pick up. Wind the yarn after one of the hooks catches the item.
