Roll out the vapor barrier on your roof. The size of the vapor barrier should be enough to cover the roof. Ideally, the vapor barrier should be placed below the corrugated tin roof.to ensure that no moisture or dampness accumulates on the lower side of the tin. You can nail the barrier to the structure at equal intervals to ensure it stays at place. The vapor barrier should hang over the edges. After installation of the corrugated tin roof, you can trim off the extra part.

    • 2

Start from one corner of the roof and work your way across the rest of the roof. The corrugated tin roof should hang over the structure of the roof for drainage so that snow or water can fall off easily. Two inches of the tin sheets should hang over the edge of the structure.

    • 3

Ask someone to hold the tin until you align the corrugated tin sheets on the structure. Once the sheets are placed accurately, secure them in place by using screws placed at an equal interval of about 10 inches apart to create symmetry. The screws and tin roof should be the same color.

Once the first row of sheets are secured, position the second row of sheets. Place the sheets in such a manner that two inches overlap the first row.

Once you have covered the entire stretch of the roof place the ridge caps. Ensure that the ridge caps overlap each other and are secured with same colored screws.
