How to Set Up Two Satellites on One Dish

It's easy to set up two satellites on one dish. Satellite systems for home entertainment usage have multiple receivers that are set up to work in conjunction with the satellite dish. However, you'll need to have a minimum of a dual LNB with the dish if your plan to utilize multiple receivers. Low-noise block (LNB) is the mechanism that gets the satellite signals.

Things You'll Need

  • Power drill
  • Lag bolts
  • Two Dish Network receivers
  • Coax cable
  • Socket wrench
  • Protective goggles

Put on the goggles. Put the satellite dish on the roof of your house. Be certain there isn't anything nearby that will keep the satellite dish from getting a strong signal.

Drill holes in the roof using the power drill. Insert the lag bolts in the holes. Lock the bolts by using the socket wrench. Put the mounting bracket on the roof of your house.

Screw in and attach the two coax cables' ends to the dish. The cables should now be run into the house. After you've lugged the cable into the house, attach it to both receivers. Use the screwdriver to screw the end section of the coax cables into the coax input. This input will be found on the side of the receiver dish.
