Lower the forks completely to the ground and then park the forklift on a flat surface.
Lift the seat of the forklift and remove the negative battery cable with an adjustable wrench.
Remove the nuts holding the forklift casing from around the body of the machine.
Loosen the timing belt tension bolt, located at the bottom front of the engine block. It may be necessary to slide a breaker bar over the end of the ratchet in order to gain sufficient leverage to break the tension bolt. Slide the tensioner slightly to the left and remove the belt from the tensioner and from the crankshaft pulley.
Link the replacement timing belt over the tensioner and crankshaft pulleys. Slide the tensioner pulley to the right to increase tension and then tighten the tension bolt with the socket set.
Replace the forklift casing and tighten all retaining nuts with the nut driver.
Replace the battery's negative cable with the wrench.
